Garvin, Hawkins lead Dugout Club honors

Grayson Garvin of Wesleyan and Chase Hawkins of Brookwood received the top individual honors from the Gwinnett Dugout Club, which held its season-ending banquet Tuesday night.

Garvin was named pitcher of the year and Hawkins was player of the year. Brookwood also was named team of the year while its coaches took two honors - Rick Howard as John B. Sawyer Coach of the Year and Joe Windham as assistant coach of the year.

Windham also was inducted into the Dugout Club's Hall of Fame along with Parkview's Roy Massey, former Brookwood player and current Mill Creek coach Andy Dyer and former Greater Atlanta Christian player Matt Handley.

The club also honored Wesleyan coach Mike Shaheen and Norcross coach Andy Collins for topping the 100-career win plateau.
