Tupelo loses three games to drop from No. 1

PrintThe curse of No. 1 continues as Tupelo (Miss.) High dropped three games after taking over the top spot. American Heritage High (Plantation, Fla.) returns to the spotlight with their team that has been compared with a junior college lineup. Plano (Texas) West High made another big jump to No. 6 from No. 15.
The staff of Baseball America and the National High School Baseball Coaches Association Ranking Committee compiles the top 25 rankings. In-season polls are conducted bi-weekly and released every Tuesday. The final poll will be released June 23. Records included are as of Sunday, April 13 and do not reflect ties.
